April 6, 2014 will be a huge day for HBO. On Thursday (Jan. 9), the network announced it would premiere "Game Of Thrones" Season 4 and "Veep" Season 3 on that first Sunday in April.

"Game Of Thrones" will air at 9 p.m. EST and "Veep" will follow at 10 p.m. EST.

April is a long way off, so if "Game Of Thrones" fans can't contain themselves, HBO's devised a plan to keep you satisfied ... or at least watching its new crime drama. The network will air the Season 4 trailer on Sunday (Jan. 12) just before the premiere of its new show, "True Detective," starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. According to the "Game Of Thrones" Twitter, the trailer will air at precisely 8:58 p.m. EST.

HBO will also debut a new show, "Silicon Valley," that night at 10:30 p.m. EST. According to a statement from the network, Mike Judge's ("Office Space") comedy "looks at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success." The show stars Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Christopher Evan Welch and Thomas Middleditch.
