Blame it on "Glee," but Lea Michele looks right at home in her debut music video. The "Cannonball" clip premiered Thursday night, and Michele followed it up by tweeting fans who noted the song's inspirational message.
So thankful to everyone who helped me make my #CannonballMusicVideo and to all of you for watching... 💛 u all

The video is simple, but Michele's presentation is impassioned. She's in near-darkness as the song begins, but sunlight light breaks through the room when she erupts into the first chorus: "And now I will start living today / Today, today I close the door / I got this new beginning and I will fly / I’ll fly like a cannonball." She goes on to belt out the anthem in a room filled with mirrors and another that has strings of bright lights. According to Michele, the torch song -- which was written by Sia -- helped her recover in the aftermath of the death of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith. Watch below.
