Golden Globes 2014 Winners Unveiled At 71st Annual Awards Ceremony

The best of film and television were honored at the 71st annual Golden Globes. The 2014 winners, as chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, received their trophies during a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler acted as co-hosts for the evening.

Going into the night, "12 Years A Slave" and "American Hustle" led all films with seven nominations each, including Best Picture honors in, respectively, the drama and musical or comedy categories. "American Hustle" won Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy as well as Best Actress - Musical Or Comedy (Amy Adams) and Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Lawrence). "12 Years A Slave" earned the Best Picture - Drama award. Other film winners included Jared Leto (for Best Supporting Actor), Leonardo DiCaprio (for Best Actor - Musical or Comedy), Matthew McConaughey (for Best Actor - Drama), Cate Blanchett (for Best Actress - Drama), Spike Jonze (for Best Screenplay) and Alfonso Cuaron (for Best Director).

"Breaking Bad" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" took top television honors, while actors Bryan Cranston (for "Breaking Bad"), Andy Samberg (for "Brookyln Nine-Nine"), Robin Wright (for "House of Cards") and Amy Poehler (for "Parks and Recreation") won Golden Globe awards for acting.

Woody Allen received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment" during the 2014 Golden Globes ceremony.

Last year, "Argo" and "Les Miserables" took home film honors, while "Homeland" and "Girls" won the lead television awards.
