'Modern Family' Cast's Instagrams Prove They Had The Best Time At The Golden Globes

"Modern Family" Cast Had More Fun Than Anyone At The Golden Globes

"Modern Family" had a large cast representation at Sunday night's (Jan. 12) Golden Globes. After all, the show was nominated for Best Comedy TV series and actress Sofia Vergara was in the running for Best Supporting Actress in a TV series. Neither won their category, but according to their Instagram photos, they were having too much fun to notice (which is more than we could say for last year).

Follow us on the epic and hilarious journey of their night:

Like many stars, the cast started their big night on the red carpet. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell Pritchett on the hit show, posted a photo of himself striking a pose on the red carpet. The actor wasn't trying to display his dapper look, but instead was making fun of himself and Zooey Deschanel -- who successfully photobombed the shot. Ferguson captioned the photo. "Those who photobomb …" and clearly was beginning the night with a laugh.

He wasn't the only one goofing off on the red carpet. Rico Rodriguez (Manny Delgado) posted a photo of himself leaping into the air because … well … 15–year–olds can't contain their excitement sometimes.

However, we quickly learned that age had no influence on the hilarious energy at the "Modern Family" table because castmates of all ages were goofing off and having a great time. Perhaps Ferguson's Instagram of Sofia Vergara (Gloria Pritchett) arriving at the table explains it best. He wrote, "Look who's arrived to the table! Her dress barely fits. #fromwhereisit"

Then, in typical Golden Globes fashion, alcohol got involved …

Sarah Hyland (Haley Dunphy) posted this photo of Sofia Vergara and joked, "She doesn't need a golden globe. She's got two! @sofiavergara and her tequila ;)"

Best part about the "Modern Family" cast? On–screen relationships make for amazing real life friendships. Take Vergara and Ed O'Neill (Jay Pritchett) engaging in faux–PDA:

… and Sarah Hyland intently watching the show with her on–screen father Ty Burrell (Phil Dunphy):

The fun didn't stop once the show did. In fact, the cast only went more crazy.

For starters, Vergara attempted to steal Jacqueline Bisset's Golden Globe. She was going to have the gold, whether or not it risked elbowing a neighbor in the rib cage.

Vergara didn't hold back on the after–party dance floor either.

Neither did the show's male leads:

Ferguson put it best, as he captioned the photo, "The happiest losers you ever met! Such a fun night at the Golden Globes! Good night! XO."

Oh, what we'd give to join this wacky family …
