Tesla Coils Perform 'Inspector Gadget' Theme Song (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'Coils' Do Trippy Rendition Of Theme Song From 1980s Cartoon

Want to enjoy a bit of weird science with a dash of nostalgia?

If so, this video from ARC ATTACKMUSIC is just the ticket. It features a pair of "singing Tesla coils" performing a rather unusual cover of the theme song from the 1980's cartoon "Inspector Gadget." Just check it out above.

Sometimes called a zeusaphone, the singing Tesla coil is manipulated to produce high-voltage, low-current sparks. A switch in the frequency of the sparks generates the music.

This is by no means the first time Nikola Tesla's mesmerizing 19th Century invention has been used to create music. For another recent example, listen to this recent cover of AWOLnation's hit song "Sail."

Rock on!
