Cuomo Facing Heat Over Appointment Of Ray Kelly

ALBANY — The Legislature’s Black and Hispanic Caucus has drafted a scathing letter demanding that Gov. Cuomo rescind his appointment of former NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly as a special adviser.

The letter cites Kelly’s aggressive use of stop-and-frisk policing and the NYPD’s Muslim surveillance program as reasons to disqualify him for the position.
