Shep Smith Bashes Net Neutrality Opponent: 'You Sound Like A Corporate Shill'

Shep Smith Tears Into Net Neutrality Opponent

"You sound like a corporate shill!" Shep Smith told his guest during a segment on net neutrality.

The guest was a guy named Larry Fishelson, and he was saying that a recent court order shutting down the FCC's net neutrality rules was "wonderful."

Fishelson admitted that he may have sounded like a corporate shill, but he plowed ahead.

"So now people with money will have more access than people without money," Smith countered. "And the whole idea behind the Internet in the first place was that everybody has equal access. It's not just for rich people."

"It's a business!" Fishelson said. "I don't think anything's going to happen."

"The whole Internet disagrees with you," Smith said. "And every single fact that you read about what net neutrality is, how the Internet was born, what it’s meant to do, flies in the face of everything you’re saying."

"Who pays you?" he added for good measure.
