A Great Butter Substitute For Your Favorite Desserts, From Ellie Krieger (VIDEO)

Ellie Krieger, nutritionist and author of Weeknight Wonders recommends swapping out the butter for a much healthier alternative: canola oil.

"I use canola oil a lot in muffin-type cakes or quick-bake foods like banana bread," she told us. Though there are some recipes which are not as receptive to canola oil as others, Ellie recommends swapping it in as much as possible to avoid the over use of fattening butter.
