Even though his players probably understand the importance of this week's AFC Championship game against the Broncos, Patriots coach Bill Belichick still offered some advice to his team.

Do not smoke pot in Denver.

The Patriots are visiting Denver for the first time since the state of Colorado legalized the sale of marijuana for recreational use. And with the new year here, recreational sales have opened to the public.

“It’s a business trip. Nobody is going to care about that,” running back LeGarrette Blount said, via the Boston Globe. “Bill told us about it, he basically told us, ‘Don’t go out there and be stupid.’ [That’s] really good advice.”

When asked about if he's worried about his players smoking marijuana in Denver, Belichick answered the in a manner that only seems fit for him.

“I think we know what the NFL policy is on that,” he said.
