The duo broke into Hollywood when they wrote and starred together in "Good Will Hunting." In this photo from 1998, the best friends accept their Golden Globe awards for the film. The two remain close and they have been known to travel and work together regularly.

Accepting the Cecil B. Demille award on Woody Allen's behalf at this year's Golden Globes, Diane Keaton referenced her 45–year friendship with the famed actor, writer and director. The pair had a romantic relationship and then worked together on many film projects in the '70s — most notably, "Annie Hall," which was based on their relationship. The friends, pictured here in 1970, remain incredibly close.
Robin Williams and Christopher Reeve

Robin Williams and the late Christopher Reeve met as drama students at Julliard, where they were roommates. The best friends promised to support one another if only one of them became successful. Luckily, that wasn't a problem, but Robin Williams did promise Reeve's family that he would cover any hospital bills that they weren't able to after the actor had his accident. This 1979 photo shows Reeve presenting Williams with the People's Choice Award for favorite male performer in a new TV series.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire

Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire first met at an audition and exchanged numbers while Maguire was filming the 1990 movie "Hot Rod Brown Class Clown." The actors became best friends and have remained close ever since. DiCaprio has said that the two talk about every single decision they make and project they take on. They starred together in "The Great Gatsby" last year and are pictured, here, enjoying a kayak ride in 1999.
