Rob Lowe Won't Be Leaving NBC Any Time Soon

Don't Say Goodbye To Rob Lowe Just Yet

There's only one week left until we must say goodbye to Rob Lowe on "Parks and Recreation," but don't go into full mourning just yet.

We'll be seeing more of Lowe on NBC, as TV Guide reports the network has given a pilot order for a new tennis comedy, starring and executive produced by Lowe. Set in a tennis and golf club, "The Pro" follows a former doubles champion who is reunited with his ex-partner following a public feud that left them both hitting bottom.

Lowe will play the tennis champ, a perfect transition from health nut Chris Traeger on "Parks." The pilot will be written by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory of "King of the Hill" and directed by Todd Holland of "Malcolm in the Middle."

With his mini golf caddying experience, Lowe is perfect for the part. And we're literally excited.tv show gifs
