Pink Grammys Performance: Singer Opens With Acrobatics, Joins Nate Ruess For 'Just Give Me A Reason'

Pink opened her Grammy performance with an impressive bout of aerial dancing while performing the song "Try" at the 56th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday. After descending back to the stage, fun. frontman Nate Ruess joined her to rip through "Just Give Me a Reason."

Pink is no stranger to performing above the heads of the Staples Center crowd. Her 2010 Grammy rendition of "Glitter in the Air" also featured aerial dancing.

"Just Give Me a Reason" was up for two awards during the ceremony: Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The song spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last year, becoming Pink's 14th Top-10 hit.

Pink has three previous Grammys under her belt. She won Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2002 for "Lady Marmalade," Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 2004 for "Trouble" and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2011 for Herbie Hancock's all-star cover of John Lennon's "Imagine." Ruess' band fun. collected two Grammys last year: Best New Artist and Song of the Year, for "We Are Young."

The duo was joined by a slew of A-list performers on Sunday, including Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Lorde.

The performance was taken to another level with the addition of Madonna, who lent her vocals to the "Heist" track by transitioning into a rendition of "Open Your Heart." Hours before the show, news leaked that Macklemore and Madonna's performance would host the marriage ceremonies of 33 couples, to be officiated by Queen Latifah.
