Gay Marriages On Grammys Slammed By Bryan Fischer Because Same-Sex Parenting Is 'Child Abuse'

Macklemore's Grammys Performance Slammed Because Gay Parenting Is 'Child Abuse'

Add the American Family Association 's Bryan Fischer to the chorus of conservative voices who are expressing anger over the same-sex couples who tied the knot during Sunday night's performance of "Same Love" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, featuring appearances by Queen Latifah and Madonna, on the 2014 Grammy Awards.

As Right Wing Watch first reported, Fischer -- whose anti-gay declarations have become a near-weekly staple of his "Focal Point" radio show -- kicked off by slamming Beyoncé's "inexcusably tawdry" opening number, before tackling the Macklemore performance, during which 33 couples tied the knot.

"If you care about children, this thing ought to appall you because gay marriage is bad for children," Fischer said. "In fact, same-sex parenting ... is a form of child abuse."

Last year, Fischer slammed marriage equality as "pseudo, counterfeit," and "fake," before noting, "I refer to homosexual marriage as 'sodomy-based marriage.'"

On the subject of lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) children, he also noted, "I would appeal to them not to go down that road because it’s a road of destruction and death but I would love them unconditionally.”
