Some foods taste better eaten straight out of the jar with a spoon. Or at least they make you feel better. At least for a little while... Let's face it. If you're feeling down, sometimes spoon-fed comfort is the only way, no matter how good or bad it actually makes you feel.
There's no shame in this game -- some products are even designed specifically for this purpose. And others that might be meant for spreading on bread just lend themselves so well to the jar-spoon-mouth ritual.
You've been there. We've been there. It's going to be ok. It's all going to be ok. So let these perfect spoon-foods help you through.

Eating peanut butter with a spoon just makes sense. You can enjoy the pure, unadulterated taste without confusing flavors like grape jelly or bananas. Also, spooning peanut butter minimizes the chance you'll get it stuck on the roof of your mouth, which increases ten-fold when you eat a peanut butter sandwich on soft white bread. It's science.
Once you start, you won't be able to stop, and why should you? The chocolatey hazelnut spread is the stuff dreams are made of.

The thing about dulce de leche is that it's edible heaven and it doesn't matter how you eat it -- the creamy, caramelized milk-based sauce will transport you to higher places. Eating it with a spoon is probably the fastest way to consume it, so you're going to want to do that.
If you're eating fluff, you may as well eat it from the jar, because you are that sad. It's ok. Just embrace it.

Even though ice cream doesn't come in a jar, everybody has eaten a pint of ice cream with a spoon straight from the container at some point in their life, so we'd be remiss not to include it here. Maybe you eat ice cream this way every night. Maybe you have more self-control. Either way, this is a perfectly acceptable way to swallow your feelings, on the regular.
Ok, this was definitiely invented exclusively for eating with a spoon.
