The CW Orders 'Supernatural' Spinoff, 'Supernatural: Tribes'

'Supernatural' Gets A Spinoff

Get ready to join a new tribe.

"Supernatural" may be in its ninth season, but it is now getting a spinoff, according to Deadline.

The CW has ordered a pilot for a new spinoff currently titled "Supernatural: Tribes." Harkening back to primitive times, Zap2It reports that it will feature a new scuffle between hunters and monsters in Chicago.

None of the current stars from "Supernatural" will be leaving the flagship series, but a new character will be introduced this season, and an episode will serve as a backdoor pilot for the spinoff.

This is just the latest spinoff news for The CW, which already airs "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff, "The Originals" and also recently announced a "Veronica Mars" spinoff for its digital platform, CW Seed.

"Supernatural" airs Tues. at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
