High School Kicker Born Without Arms Is A Total Boss On The Field

WATCH: 14-Year-Old Born Without Arms Is A Total Boss On The Football Field

Isaac Lufkin was born without arms, but that doesn't affect his ability to score a field goal.

The 14-year-old kicker helped his team take home the freshman football state title in Rhode Island this year. He also led his division in onside kick recoveries. After an undefeated season, Lufkin has high hopes for the future.

"I want to play in the NFL," Lufkin told CNN's Poppy Harlow during a recent interview.

Lufkin dreamed of playing football from an early age, but started with soccer. He stopped after a few years, confessing that he wasn't that good. So when he returned to his hometown of Providence after a move with his family, Lufkin told the Classical High School football coach that he wanted to play.

"The first thought that came to my mind is how is that going to happen?" head coach Jeremy Ogunba told WLNE-TV in November. "Who is going to help him with his helmet and pads things of that nature? ... And then what position? But kicker obviously came to mind."

As for putting on his gear, Lufkin prefers to do that himself.

"I don't like people helping me, because it makes me feel like I can't do it," Lufkin told CNN. "I drop my backpack and someone picks it up. I drop it again, and pick it back up."

Though Lufkin has a knack for making field goals, he also sees himself playing as a defensive lineman, a position he held when he played football for his middle school team in Tennessee.

"Everybody was small so I can play on the line. I bent down and I would go at their thigh area to push through. If I had to, I went down to the ground to get through. They couldn’t grab my arms so I could slip through easier," Lufkin told the Providence Journal.
