Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn't want you to believe everything you read on Twitter.

With the Seattle Seahawks flying toward a blowout win in Super Bowl XLVIII, the undefeated boxing champion disputed reports that he wagered $10 million on the Denver Broncos.

"Somebody lied to you all. If I was going to bet, I would have bet on the Seattle Seahawks," Mayweather wrote in a message accompanying an Instagram post that he shared via Twitter during the Super Bowl. "I'm the best defensive fighter, it's only right to go with the best defensive team."

Mayweather, who has been known to make the occasional bet on a sporting event, also shared a message of congratulations with the triumphant Seahawks.
