Karl Rove: Paul Ryan Made A 'Good Point' Criticizing Obama's 'Increasingly Lawless Presidency'

GOP strategist Karl Rove said Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) made a "good point" when he criticized President Barack Obama on ABC's "This Week."

On Sunday, Ryan told host George Stephanopoulos Obama's decision to issue executive orders is leading to an "increasingly lawless presidency" and "creating a dangerous trend which is contrary to the Constitution." Rove echoed that view during a Monday interview on Fox's "America's Newsroom."

“I don’t see any part of the Constitution or the amendments to it that say the President has the right, if Congress is less popular than he is, to ignore their responsibilities to legislate and his responsibility to execute, to faithfully execute, the laws of the United States,” Rove said.

In his 2014 State of the Union address, Obama vowed to sidestep Congress "whenever and wherever" necessary to help ease income inequality in America. During that speech, Obama announced a new policy, to be instituted via executive order, to raise the minimum wage for workers under federal contracts to $10.10 per hour.
