HBO takes on the tech world in the new teaser for "Silicon Valley." The eight-episode half-hour sitcom is set to debut on April 6 and, based on the short clip below, young hot shots in the Bay Area are about to get roasted, HBO style.
The comedy from Mike Judge ("Office Space") follows four friends trying to make it in the booming tech industry. They'll come face to face with those monolithic corporate campuses, TED Talks and fancy bowls of ramen. In preparation for "Silicon Valley, Judge and executive producer Alex Berg researched the huge tech boom developing in the Bay Area. At the TV Critics Association winter press tour, Judge commented on real-life tech executives. "They all have to shroud their capitalism with this 'we're making the world a better place' thing," he said.
The cast includes Thomas Middleditch ("The Office"), T.J. Miller ("Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World"), Zach Woods ("The Office"), Kumail Nanjiani ("Franklin & Bash"), Martin Starr (“Party Down”), Josh Brener (“The Internship”), Christopher Evan Welch (“The Master”) and Amanda Crew ("Jobs").
"Silicon Valley" premieres on Sunday, April 6, 10:30 p.m. EST on HBO.
