Brace yourselves, "One Tree Hill" fans because it sounds like those reunion rumors are just, well, rumors.
Sophia Bush chatted with The Huffington Post about a possible "OTH" reunion while launching the 2014 Barefoot Wine Soles of the Year Program with the Trio Animal Foundation in Chicago on Saturday (Feb. 8), admitting the former cast and crew have no idea where the whispers started.
"It's totally weird, all of the sudden everyone is talking about this again," Bush told HuffPost. "The Internet is a strange place ... Anyone associated with the show knows nothing about this reunion, so I don't know where it's coming from. But I do think since so many of us are working on other things, I just don't even know if there would be time."
If there was time, would Bush be game to revive her beloved character, Brooke Davis?
"Um, you know what?" she said, pausing a bit. "Honestly, I don't know."
Bush recently shot down reports of a reunion in an appearance on "Watch What Happens: Live" in January, telling host Andy Cohen, "I don’t want to break it to people, but I don’t think so. 'Cause the writers would have to write it, and they’ve said, 'No.'"
Still, the 31-year-old actress is doing just fine. Not only is she helping out organizations like the Trio Animal Foundation, she's currently starring as Detective Erin Lindsay on the "Chicago Fire" spinoff series, "Chicago P.D." -- and loving it. As for her move to the Windy City, Bush admits Wilmington, N.C., where she filmed "OTH," was much ... warmer.
"Aside from being freezing, it's been amazing," she explained. "I come from LA and spent a lot of my childhood also in New York so I'm used to big cities, and for me, as sort of a lover of options and experience, there's so much to do while you're working in such a large place, so I'm very grateful to be in Chicago. I love this city."
