Julia Louis-Dreyfus And Joe Biden Hang Out At State Dinner, Become Best Veeps Forever

Best Veeps Forever

Veeps unite! Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Vice President Joe Biden posed for a photo at a state dinner honoring French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday (Feb. 11) night.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus sat in the press section and when asked what her favorite part of the dinner was she said, "Look who I'm sitting next to," and pointed to Biden, according to a pool report. He stopped the conversation and said "Hey, stop screwin' around, she's my date! ... Just kidding."

Louis-Dreyfus stars in HBO's "Veep" as the blunder-prone Vice President Selina Meyer, who would have had a field day sitting next to Biden, the real master of political gaffes. This wasn't the first time the fictional Veep hung out with the real one, as Louis-Dreyfus and Biden have shared a meal before. Last year, she met the Vice President and his staffers for a lunch that sounds like a scene straight out of "Veep." We can only imagine what bag man Gary (Tony Hale) would have had to whisper in her ear.
