'Stefon' May Show Up On 'Late Night With Seth Meyers'

YES PLEASE: 'Stefon' May Show Up On 'Late Night With Seth Meyers'

Arguably the most popular correspondent during Seth Meyers' tenure as "Weekend Update" anchor was Bill Hader's Stefon. The two became inseparable on the show. When Hader left "Saturday Night Live," Stefon got a huge send-off. And just recently, when it was Meyers' turn to leave, Stefon returned to take him away. But that may not be the last we see of our favorite odd couple.

On "Watch What Happens: Live," Meyers suggested that Stefon may show up in some capacity on the new "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

"I don’t think he’ll be a correspondent," Meyers said. "Bill [Hader] and I spoke during my last ‘SNL,’ and we do think he’ll turn up eventually." That said, Meyers said that he and "SNL" creator Lorne Michaels don't want "Late Night" to just be a retread of Seth Meyers' time on "SNL." More than likely, though, plenty of his old pals will be dropping by in the early weeks to say hi.

"Late Night with Seth Meyers" premieres Monday, February 24 at 12:37 a.m. EST on NBC.
