Vogue has finally confirmed that those Rihanna March cover rumors are indeed true. And in celebration of the pop star's third cover for the fashion bible, Vogue has tapped YouTube sensation Michelle Phan for a Rihanna-inspired makeup tutorial.
Phan, who is widely known for her amazing celebrity transformations, shows us how to channel Rihanna's bad girl look in the video above. Naturally, she creates her look with the Riri essentials: '90s dark lipstick, bold brows and smudgy brown eyeshadow. But pay close attention to her tip about contouring and how to avoid visible makeup streaks. Phan then kicks things up a notch with hazel-green contacts, heavy metal jewelry and side-swept curls topped with a backwards baseball cap.
"A bad girl is a diamond in the rough, so keep shining bright," says Phan. "Being bad is about confidence. You're strong in your look but kind and gentle to the good people around you." Now that's a beauty mantra we can live by!
Watch the full makeup tutorial above and tell us if you think Michelle Phan nailed it.
