Cee Lo Green Splits From 'The Voice'

Cee Lo Exits 'The Voice'

Cee Lo Green is saying "Forget You" to "The Voice."

On the Feb. 19 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Green told DeGeneres "I'm not coming back, guys."

"I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC," continued Green. "I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year, but yeah, I’m going to miss 'The Voice,' too."

Green has served as a coach on the NBC singing competition for four out of its five seasons. (Season 4 featured Shakira and Usher as guest coaches, who are returning for the upcoming sixth season.) "I don’t want to wear out my welcome there," said Green, "You know what I’m saying?"

Season 6 of "The Voice" premieres Feb. 24 on NBC.
