'Fantastic Four' Cast Might Include Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan

'House Of Cards' Star Up For 'Fantastic Four' Role

Kate Mara and Jamie Bell will reportedly join Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan in Fox's upcoming reboot of "Fantastic Four," this according to TheWrap. Mara and Bell would play, respectively, Sue Storm (a.k.a. Invisible Woman) and Ben Grimm (a.k.a. Thing) alongside Teller's Reed Richards (a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic) and Jordan's Johnny Storm (a.k.a. Human Torch). Josh Trank, who worked with Jordan on the film "Chronicle," is set to direct.

HuffPost Entertainment contacted representatives for all four actors to confirm the veracity of this casting report. This post will be updated if and when they respond. UPDATE: Jordan's reps have yet to comment, but the actor himself posted this photo to Instagram:

Mara also confirmed involvement before her reps did, posting this to her Twitter account:

Feeling invisible....in a wonderful way:)

The original story continues below.

This isn't the first time Teller and Jordan have been connected to the superhero film. Back in August of 2013, TheWrap reported that Teller was being sought for the Richards role, but Trank used his Twitter account to debunk those claims:

the casting rumor floating around today isn't true.... the end.

Jordan's involvement dates all the way back to May of last year, when TheWrap also reported he would star as Johnny Storm, who is the brother of Sue Storm. Jordan never confirmed that report, but did explain to HuffPost Entertainment in July of last year why he was so keen to star in "Fantastic Four":

I mean, if it were to happen, would I shy away from the moment? Of course not. It would be really cool. I grew up reading comic books, being a big Marvel and DC fan, if I had the opportunity to play a role like that, of course I would. Like, who wouldn't? I don't care if I was Asian or blue or brown or green or red. It doesn't matter.

Mara was first mentioned as a possibility for Sue Storm in October of last year, when Variety noted that she had done a screen test for Trank and Fox. Other actresses who were rumored for the part included Saoirse Ronan and Allison Williams.
