Sarah Palin: If Greg Abbott Is 'Good Enough For Ted Nugent, He Is Good Enough For Me!'

Palin: If Republican Is 'Good Enough For Ted Nugent, He Is Good Enough For Me!'

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) praised Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott, citing rocker Ted Nugent's support as reason enough to support the Lone Star State Republican.

"If he is good enough for Ted Nugent, he is good enough for me!" Palin wrote on her Facebook page Wednesday.

Palin's post was primarily an endorsement of Katrina Pierson, who is challenging Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) for his seat. The former vice presidential candidate said like Pierson, Abbott "has overcome many personal obstacles and challenges, which have made him a believer in the power of liberty and the need to defend our freedoms from the overreach of an out-of-control federal government."

Abbott has recently come under fire for campaigning with Nugent, who recently called President Barack Obama a "subhuman mongrel." But Abbott has stuck by Nugent, calling the rocker his "blood brother."
