For years, Seth Kraft stuck to the sidelines as the Locomotives played.

But on Saturday, the 4-foot-1 basketball player, who serves as the student coach for Laurel High School's varsity team, got his chance to start, according to media reports.

The 18-year-old joined his teammates on the court in Montana against Billings Senior High School in honor of his birthday. Though Kraft had high hopes of scoring, he was happy just to help out his team.

"I will steal the ball if I have the chance. I’m not going to take it easy on them. It’ll be great if I score, but it’s OK if I don’t. I’ll be successful tonight if I make an impact, even a small one," he told The Billings Gazette before the game.

As it turns out, Kraft did score. During the first quarter, Kraft drove down the court through the other team's defense to the basket and tossed the ball through the hoop. The Locomotives beat the Broncs with a final score of 75-66.

It just goes to show that when it comes to scoring a basket, height doesn't matter.
