98-Year-Old Woman Proves There's No Age Limit On Helping Others

Evelyn, 98, takes "love thy neighbor" to heart.

When the retirement community where the nonagenarian lives discontinued its bus service, her neighbor Joyce was unable to go to the grocery store. Knowing that Joyce was afraid she'd have to switch facilities, Evelyn sprung into action. At age 98, she renewed her driver's license so she could drive Joyce to the supermarket.

"I'm on the earth, I'm here. If I can contribute, I should. Shouldn't we all? And not just think of ourselves?" Evelyn said in the video above from I Like Giving, a campaign that hopes to inspire others by sharing stories of giving.

Evelyn doesn't seek recognition for helping Joyce, either. "I mean, I don't do this so you think I'm great," she said. "I don't even think of that."
