This 'True Detective'/'Law & Order' Mashup Is The Cop Show Of Your Dreams

Posted: Updated:

Take the two best detective shows ever (in our opinion), put them together, and you get the ultimate, the greatest, the most perfect police procedural ever.

Okay, so we're a little obsessed with "True Detective" and "Law & Order," but who isn't? Some amazing genius decided to mashup the "True Detective" opening credits à la "Law & Order" with the classic show's blue and red outlined font, black and white crime scene photos, and of course the signature theme song.

What's better than watching Rust and Marty with the "Law & Order" "DUN DUN" sounds? Not much, except maybe a "True Detective"/"Magic Mike" mashup in which Marty loses it while watching a VHS of Rust in assless chaps.

There's still a few more days to hold out until "True Detective" finale, but hopefully these mashups will hold you over -- and also help distract you from the never-ending theories. Watch the "Law & Order" mashup above and the "Magic Mike" one below.

The season finale of "True Detective" airs Sunday March 9 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
