A New Mexico woman is facing a battery charge after allegedly hitting her mom with a battery-operated vibrator.

Cara Claffy, 35, was arrested Sunday night after police in Albuquerque, N.M., responded to a call from a woman who claimed she was attacked.

When they arrived on the scene, they noticed Claffy's mother, Sheryl Claffy, 60, was bleeding profusely from her head.

Sheryl Claffy told police she had been arguing with her daughter when Cara picked up a vibrator that was nearby and hit her hard on the head.

After the alleged assault, the victim pointed to a Ford truck and told cops her daughter was inside.

Police only found a male driver, but an officer noted an electric vibrator on the passenger side floor of the vehicle.

The suspect was apprehended a short time later when officers saw her exiting a nearby house.

Claffy admitted to arguing with her mother, but said her mom had emerged bleeding from a room in their home, claiming “that she had struck herself with a vibrator,” The Smoking Gun reported.

Sex toys have been the weapon of choice in previous assaults.

In November 2010, Carolee Bildsten, 56, allegedly assaulted a police officer with a "a rigid feminine pleasure device" while he was investigating an allegation regarding an unpaid bill at a Joe's Crab Shack in Gurnee, Ill.

In April 2012, police in Watertown, N.Y., arrested Lisa Anderson, 47, after she threw a pink sex toy that hit an officer in the head.
