Red Wings Star Literally Picked Up Teeth Off Ice And Kept Playing

For hockey players, it's just part of the job description to pick up their own teeth if they lose them during the game. Red Wings veteran Daniel Alfredsson did just that after taking a high stick to the face on Tuesday night in a game against the Devils.

Late in the second period, New Jersey’s Andrei Loktionov accidentally caught Alfredsson in the mouth with his stick as he was falling down behind the net. After a whistle was blown, the 41-year-old was shown skating around and picking up some teeth off the ice before heading to the bench.

No penalty was called and Alfreddson still played in the third period.

Of course, Alfredsson had a scheduled dentist appointment for Wednesday morning.
