Yesterday former MLB superstar Ken Griffey Jr. went on SportsCenter and gave a brutal, lifeless, deadpan, trainwreck of an interview to anchor Linda Cohn. As much as Cohn tried, she couldn't get more than one word out of Griffey on more than one occasion.
Shortly after the interview aired, and after a mountain of negative publicity, Griffey posted this message on Instagram apologizing for his terrible performance. Because where else do you go to post a public apology other than Instagram, am I right? I'm just disappointed he didn't use the above photo.
I want to apologize to Linda for the way things went today. I was in the middle of a cough attack and felt a little ill and didn't want to walk off the set. Linda has always been professional to me and my family . I'm sorry, Junior
Cohn also tweeted that she received a personal apology from Griffey as well.
Just got off phone w Ken Griffey Jr. He apologized sincerely for how he came across in @SportsCenter int. I accepted his apology.

Here I thought it was drinking too much nerve tonic that was the problem.
