Surprise! New Zealand pop phenomenon Lorde has apparently never been to an NBA basketball game. Until Monday night.
In Chicago in the midst of her sold-out North American tour, the 17-year-old turned up in the audience at the United Center as the Bulls took on the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 17.
What'd she think of the action? A mix of intrigue, pride and a little confusion, it would appear.
i am at a bulls game this is so intense how does everyone in this room not have a stress ulcer

i am such an outsider to the world of sport but i feel very proud of all playing

Lorde also seemed pretty fascinated with the Luvabulls' performance and other half-time entertainment.

in the break they rolled out a red carpet on the court and a man did some tricks with his dog

And then there was the kiss-cam!
they just filmed me (surprise) and my keyboardist spontaneously kissed my drummer while the cameras were on us (surprise x2)

Oddly enough, this isn't the first sports-related headline Lorde has made in recent months. As Deadspin noted, she said in a December interview that her hit "Royals" was inspired by an old photo she saw of Kansas City Royals player George Brett signing autographs.
