A shocking surveillance video has emerged of the train derailment that injured more than 30 people early Monday morning in Chicago.
The video from an as-yet-unknown source emerged Wednesday morning on a YouTube clip posted to Reddit's r/Chicago community. Though the surveillance video of the CTA Blue Line derailment at the O'Hare Airport station has been removed from YouTube multiple times, it has continued to crop up in alternate uploads.
The video shows two people jumping out of the train's path just before it climbs up the station's escalator.

National Transportation Safety Board officials have said that, based on their initial investigation, the train was going a normal speed of about 25 mph heading into the station prior to the derailment, but the video appears to show it traveling faster than that.
Meanwhile, two workers at the airport have already filed lawsuits claiming CTA negligence was a factor in the derailment, the Chicago Tribune reports.
CTA union head Robert Kelly said Monday there was an "indication" the train's operator had nodded off. On Wednesday, the NTSB said the conductor admitted to falling asleep, DNAinfo Chicago reports. It reportedly wasn't the first time she'd done so in her two months as a train operator with CTA:
The NTSB says an emergency stop system was activated prior to the derailment but did not successfully prevent the crash.
The station remains closed indefinitely.
