Geek Alert: The force is about to get a lot stronger with TV's favorite comedy nerd-semble.

CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" is celebrating "Star Wars" Day this year with a tribute episode approved by George Lucas himself! (Ok, maybe not George Lucas, but Lucasfilm -- the masterminds behind everything Jedi related -- did lend some of their experts to the show for the special episode.)

"The Proton Transmogrification" airs May 1 and sees the gang celebrate the space-themed holiday while Sheldon has visions of childhood with his mentor, Professor Proton (Bob Newhart), acting as a personal Jedi master.

For anyone not familiar with the nerd-verse, May 4 is recognized every year by fans of the films. Everything from screenings to special events and festivities are held globally to celebrate the books, films and culture of "Star Wars." The day's tagline is "May the fourth be with you," a re-working of one of the film's most popular lines, of course, "May the force be with you."

CBS worked with special effects teams from Lucasfilm to recreate Dagobah -- the swamp infested planet Yoda flees to in the popular film series, and to provide the show with plenty of props for the upcoming episode. (Yes, there will be lightsabers.)
