General Motors is in hot water over defective ignition switches that are blamed for at least 13 deaths -- a problem the carmaker allegedly knew about, but didn't correct.

"They studied the problem for four years, did an internal cost-benefit analysis using your standard analytic algorith barometric PE ratio equations and came up with, 'F**K It," Jon Stewart said on "The Daily Show" Wednesday night.

Watch the segment above for his take on the recall.

However, if you want your laughs served with a side of anger, watch the video below. In his follow-up bit, Stewart points out that GM's 2009 bankruptcy could mean the company may not have to do a thing for the victims.

"Because GM declared bankruptcy, they are no longer legally liable for human deaths that they caused through their admitted negligence," Stewart said. "I cannot wait for a non-corporate person to try that shit."

The example he came up with: cannibalistic serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
