At age 50, Rob Lowe is a Hollywood veteran. From his '80s Brat Pack days ("St. Elmo's Fire," "About Last Night") to recent television hits ("The West Wing," "Parks and Recreation"), the Emmy award-winning actor and author has survived and thrived through a 35-year career. On Sunday's upcoming episode of "Oprah Prime," he sits down with Oprah for an intimate conversation about his new book, Love Life, and the pressure he feels after turning 50.

"I feel pressures to stay relevant," Lowe says in the above video. "To stay interesting and interested. To stay at the top of my game and expand. "

What he doesn't feel, however, is the external pressure to look a certain way.

"Do you just take that for granted that you're going to always have the face and the body?" Oprah asks.

"It's just not a part of what I think about," Lowe responds. "I'm healthy. I'm active. And to me, it's so much more about what's going on in the inside."

Continuing, he says it's how you feel inside that matters. "I think that if you're youthful and vigorous and active and connected and interested in your world, that's what inevitably makes you way more youthful," he says.

"Oprah Prime" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
