Tom Izzo On Obama Choosing Michigan State: 'Yeah, I Feel Like I Let Him Down'

Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans surprised countless March Madness strategists when they lost in the East Regional final to UConn, falling short of reaching the Final Four.

And who was among those picking the Spartans before the tournament? None other than POTUS.

"If the presidents picks 'ya - yeah, I feel like I let him down!" Izzo told Jordan Schultz on Monday on HuffPost Live. "But I think he understands too. He's gone through some things like this."

When asked about his prediction for the national championship game between Kentucky and UConn, Izzo laughed it off.

"It's gonna be a 1-2 point game either way," he said, "and I'm not trying to be a politician, even though I let the president down."
