Savannah Guthrie thanked fans for their support and well wishes on Monday as she prepares to become a mom.
The "Today" co-host has had a huge year so far: she tied the knot in March and announced that she is pregnant. Now, the five-month-pregnant Guthrie has launched a blog on today.com to discuss all things baby-related.
In her first post, she opened up about becoming pregnant. "A word from the outset: I’m 42 years old, and I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever get this chance," she wrote. "I’ve never been more thankful, or felt more blessed from above. I know how lucky I am. For a long time, I think I was afraid to even let myself think about how much I hoped to one day have a baby."
Guthrie introduced the blog on Monday's "Today" show, adding that she and her husband Michael Feldman are holding off on finding out the sex of the baby. She also extolled the virtues of maternity jeans.
