Whether you're ready to admit it or not, it's pretty safe to say, cell phones are taking over our lives. No surprises there. But while the jury's still out on what exactly that means for our general well-being in the long run, a recent survey has revealed one consequence of our inability to unplug -- it's forcing us to do some really weird things. We're talking weird as in choosing our cell phones over sex, living alone and... assigning seating in our living rooms?

According to journalist Alex Hillsberg, who scoured scientific studies to corroborate suspicions that Americans have more than their share of odd habits, we do. And here's an infographic to prove it.
