There's nothing that's much cuter than a newborn puppy. Well, maybe a litter of newborn puppies.

In a series of videos posted by an Arizona-based rescue organization, newborn Labrador retriever puppies stumble around the nest as they explore their surroundings.

Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue posted footage of the puppies' wobbly attempts to take their first steps on its Facebook page this week. As of Wednesday, the fidgety pups are 15 days old.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, newborn puppies are essentially helpless for the first few weeks after birth. Born blind and deaf, the pups use their sense of smell and touch to find their mother.

By two weeks, the newborns may begin to open their eyes and start to become more aware of their surroundings, The Nest notes. In the following two weeks they will continue to crawl on their bellies before they gain the strength to lift themselves up and stand on their own.
