Micah McCain's 'Broadway Credits' To Play Encore Engagement At New York's Duplex Cabaret Theatre

Why This New Yorker Says His Experience Is Like 'Flashdance,' Except 'My Leotard Is A Little Bigger'

New York entertainer Micah McCain is back with an encore engagement of his hit one-man show, "Broadway Credits."

The show, which has been billed as "an evening of songs, stories and Laura Benanti side-eyed exits," returns to New York's Duplex Cabaret Theatre on May 5 and 16.

“Barbra Streisand got her Broadway credits in 1962 and Marilyn Monroe died before she got hers, so I’m sorta somewhere in the middle of that,” McCain told The Huffington Post in an email. "I have found auditioning in New York is just like 'Flashdance,' except my leotard is a little bigger...and the water that falls on me is in the form of tears because I’m wearing leotards to auditions.”

McCain has starred in a West Coast production of the popular musical "[title of show]" and his Manhattan cabaret debut "Hey Gurl!" was named a TimeOut New York Critics' Pick.

He's also the creative mind behind the viral parody “Bonjour Girl!,” which spoofed Disney's animated classic "Beauty and the Beast."

"Broadway Credits" had its initial sold-out Duplex debut in February.
