Every month, Rookie gets an artist to make a new theme song for the magazine, and often it's a cover of a favorite classic. Take Twin Shadow's dreamy rendition of The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out," for example.

This month, Syracuse noise band Perfect Pussy takes on Bruce Springsteen's "Candy's Room," from 1978's "Darkness On The Edge Of Town." In the original, Springsteen turns a soft roll into a fully-charged ode to a wild girl. Perfect Pussy lead singer Meredith Graves turns it into chaotic fun that even the Boss would likely enjoy.
