Kim Kardashian's biggest dream came true when she learned she would finally grace the cover of Vogue, and in true Kardashian fashion, that magical meeting was caught on camera.
On May 1, the 33-year-old reality star shared a throwback photo of that time Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour met her daughter North West, and broke the big cover news to Kardashian and her fiance Kanye West.
"#TBT when Anna met North! Oh and told us about our Vogue shoot! #BestDayEver #Vogue #NorthOnlyPayingAttentionToHerDaddyTakingThePic," Kardashian captioned the photo.
We have no doubt that Kardashian counts that as the best day of her life, and we recently learned she really has Vogue's creative director Grace Coddington to thank for it.
"There was a wedding story to be done, and Anna probably had them in mind, because she had been seeing a lot of Kanye, so she said, 'Maybe we should shoot it on lookalikes.’ And I thought, ‘Why not just do it on the real thing? This is Vogue,'" Coddington told the Financial Times. "And I do think Kim Kardashian represents this moment in our culture. I’m fascinated by her, in the same way I’m fascinated by the people I see on the street or the subway."
