Jay Z Won't Be Kanye West's Best Man, Prenup Still Not Signed

Jay Z Won't Be Kanye West's Best Man

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's May 24 wedding date is fast approaching, and while Jay Z is apparently on the couple's 200-person guest list for their "intimate" nuptials in Paris, don't expect to see him standing next to West at the altar.

Reports that Jay Z has been tapped to be the 36-year-old's best man are not true, according to TMZ, who confirmed that he's been invited. Previously, RadarOnline claimed that Jay Z sent West a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted flask and a $10,000 bottle of scotch with an inscription that referred to Jay as West's "Best Man." The website claimed that West was "almost jumping up and down, he was so excited. He was running around Kris' house to find Kim saying, 'Baby, look! Look! Jay and B are coming!'"

Frankly, we can't in a million years picture that scenario ever playing out, but the rapper is already much more involved in the couple's wedding than he's probably even aware. According to TMZ, Kardashian and West have yet to sign their prenup, and it has nothing to do with the terms of agreement. Sources say that because West recently signed on with Jay Z's Roc Nation, which will manage all DONDA Music, Jay's people need to get up to speed and make sure the agreement protects their client's interests.
