Perhaps forgetting that it is amphibious -- or just too lazy to swim -- a frog leaped on the back of a goldfish and stayed on for the ride. The fish wriggled in an attempt to shake off the passenger, but the frog reportedly held on.
This extraordinary scene took place in the Bournemouth, England, pond of 70-year-old Andree Siwadi, who eventually lifted the frog off the distressed fish.
"I have never seen anything like it before and I have lived in the countryside all my life, I have no idea why it was doing it," she told Bournemouth News.
The animal kingdom is apparently full of hitchhikers, and tortoises seem to be among the popular vehicles. We'd be really impressed if one of the nonhuman ride-seekers held out a thumb -- or something of the like -- first.
