This Genius Mashup Brings 'Halo' And 'Minecraft' Together For One Epic Game

If you thought Cortana would've been sexier with less curves and more corners, you're in luck.

"Minecraft" is bringing the weapons, music, characters and worlds of the "Halo" franchise to the block-building sandbox game via a downloadable mashup pack, which will be released Wednesday, May 28. Players can download the pack via Xbox Live for $3.99.

While "Minecraft" developer Mojang often makes downloadable skins that allow players to see the worlds of Spiderman, "Mass Effect" or "Skyrim" through the blocky lens of "Minecraft," GamenGuide reports that this new mashup is the biggest-yet content update to "Minecraft: The 360 Edition." The increased size, content and price of this latest pack might also serve as a way to build hype around the latest installment of the "Halo" franchise: "Halo 5: Guardians," set to be released in Fall 2015.

An update to the traditional version of "Minecraft" is coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4 in August.
