Gay porn mogul Michael Lucas is tackling Russia's controversial "gay propaganda" laws as part of a new documentary.

Lucas teamed up with director Scott Stern for "Campaign of Hate: Russia and Gay Propaganda," which is currently making the international film festival circuit and is available for purchase on Amazon.

"The scapegoats used to be the Jews,” Lucas, who is of Russian descent, said in a press release. "But most of them left after the collapse of the Soviet Union. And so the Russians have moved on to the LGBT community, which coincides well with Putin's cynical campaign of Russian nationalism."
