'Star Wars' Dialogue In Alphabetical Order Is Shockingly Hypnotizing

Further proving that there are no lengths “Star Wars” fans won't go to for the films they love, someone has completely edited “A New Hope,” George Lucas’ first installment in the series, so that the dialogue runs in alphabetical order -- and the result is oddly hypnotizing.

Posted Monday, the 43-minute video seems to have excluded no phrase. The epic edit begins with the film's 201 uses of the word “a,” accompanied by snippets of scenes where the word was said. And so it goes right down the alphabet -- all the way to the last word, "zone."

The YouTube description of the video mentions a few fun facts about the film's 1,695 different words. The word "the," for example, is used 368 times, more than any other word. "Lightsaber,” perhaps the most iconic word in the franchise, is mentioned only once in the first film.
