Meet the newest "Daily Show" correspondent, Michael Che, who was asked to do his first report on Syria. What he delivered wasn't exactly what you'd expect from a comedy show.

Instead of dumb puns, Che delivered a deadpan report on some of the very real issues facing Syria, only to be interrupted by Senior Middle East Correspondent Aasif Mandvi.

"I do the Muslim stories," Mandvi said. "That's my beat!"

Instead of talking issues, Mandvi delivered the puns to show the new guy how it's done.

"So you don't want actual reporting, you just want dumb puns like President Farta Al-Asshole?" Che asked.

"That's what I'm talking about, that's nice," Stewart replied.

Watch the clip for more awesomely dumb puns.
